Do you have a 1st through 3rd grader who is missing storytime? We are starting a storytime for older kids this summer and during spring break we would like to have a preview of our new program. Join Miss Melissa for more advanced stories and crafts.
Have you ever wondered what the inside of a remote control looks like? Or how a toaster works? MGPL’s Tinker Time is supervised, but unguided, access to the world of exploring how things work. Geared for ages 5 and up, participants will have the opportunity to safely take apart common household items and small electronics to see how they work. Screwdrivers will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Aspire Program at Marion Technical College (MTC) is a free service for students who want to work on basic math, reading, or writing skills that help them transition into, and be more successful in, their college courses. Classes are a unique blend of individual study and small group lecture focusing on each student’s academic needs.
Join Miss Melissa at the Mt. Gilead Public Library for Level 1 Robotics on Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30. This six-week course runs March 4th through April 15th and teaches the beginning basics of robotics.
This class is designed for students aged 9 and up AND in the 4th grade or above.
