Movie: Cinderella (1950)

Cinderella is a 1950 American animated film produced by Walt Disney, and is based on the fairy tale "Cinderella" by Charles Perrault. However, "Cinderella stories" can be found in cultures throughout the globe. This is the twelfth feature in the Disney Animated Canon. The film had a limited release on February 151950 by RKO Radio Pictures, before going into general release on March 4. Directing credits go to Clyde GeronimiHamilton Luske, and Wilfred Jackson. The songs were written by Mack DavidJerry Livingston, and Al Hoffman. Songs in the film include "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes", "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo", "So This is Love", "Sing, Sweet Nightingale", "The Work Song", and the opening credit song titled "Cinderella".

Babe is a 1995 Australian-American comedy-drama film directed by Chris Noonan, produced by George Miller, and written by both. It is an adaptation of Dick King-Smith's 1983 novel The Sheep-Pig, also known as Babe: The Gallant Pig in the US, which tells the story of a pig raised as livestock who wants to do the work of a sheepdog. The main animal characters are played by a combination of real and animatronic pigs and Border Collies.

After School Robotics

Join Miss Melissa at the Mt. Gilead Public Library for Level 1 Robotics on Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30. This six-week course runs March 4th through April 15th and teaches the beginning basics of robotics.

This class is designed for students aged 9 and up AND in the 4th grade or above.

LEGO Club with Annie

      Show off your LEGO skills on the 3rd floor of the Mt. Gilead Public Library on the 3rd Saturday of each month beginning at 2 PM. The Lego Club, designed for kids 4 through 12, meets monthly and has varying themes. We kindly ask that an adult be present for all children under the age of 12.
