NEW Options to serve YOU

Since it seems we may need to be curbside longer that we wish, the staff at the Mount Gilead Public Library has come up with a plan to serve YOU  in two convenient ways:

OPTION 1: CURBSIDE SERVICE:

Same services we are currently offering… great for people who need photocopies or faxing or who are able to place holds online.  Please use this option whenever possible so that we may leave appointment times for those needing to use in-person services.

Call the library at (419) 947-5866 once you park and we'll bring your holds to your vehicle or pick up your printing/copying needs.

If you don't have a cell phone, simply call before you leave home and let us know when and in what vehicle to look for.

OPTION 2: BROWSE THE STACKS BY APPOINTMENT

Call (419)947-5866 or use our fast and easy-to-use Sign-Up Genius listing to schedule your 30 minute appointment. Only one appointment per family/group, per day.

All of our regular services will be available including: browsing the stacks, reading newspapers, using the computers, and making copies. A staff member will be with you to assist you with making selections and checking out materials, as well as sanitizing surfaces as you go. Masks fully covering your nose and chin are required at all times—no exceptions.

Unlike curbside service, you do not need to call when you arrive. Simply head to the main doors on the lower (parking lot) level and ring the doorbell so that a staff member can let you and your party in. You will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entering. Additionally, while your family may be together, we kindly ask that you practice the suggested six-foot social distancing with our staff.

You will have 30 minutes (less if you arrive after your scheduled appointment time) to browse the stacks. Find your books, movies, music or audiobooks; read the newspaper; or use our computers to browse the internet or make copies. You and your family/group must stay together on each floor.

Things to know:

- Appointments cannot exceed 30 minutes. If you are late, you will have the amount of time remaining from your appointment time.

- No entry without an appointment.

- No entry without a proper face covering: a face mask that fully covers both the nose and chin or a face shield that extends below your chin.

- An adult must be present with all children 10 and under.

- A family/group is defined as four or fewer people.
